About Speer Financial

Founded in 1954, Speer Financial is an employee-owned firm that has assisted clients in twelve states, with issuance of more than $19.5 billion of securities through 2006. Our client list includes more than 700 separate units of government. We serve state agencies, counties, city and village governments, park and school districts, numerous public utilities, and special authorities.

In our role as independent public finance consultants, Speer Financial is not affiliated with any bank, underwriter, or investing institution. Therefore, we are able to render impartial financial advice to our clients without the bias of an underwriting conflict. We know the financial markets and the institutions and people who rate, underwrite, buy, and sell tax-exempt debt securities.
