Abatement of G.O. Alternate BondsIssuers of G.O. Alternate Bonds pledge at the time of the original ordinance to annually abate (remove) the next levy in its entirety as debt service is retired from "alternate" sources. This process must be completed in each county as early as March. Model abatement ordinances follow & must be annually adopted & filed with your County Clerk(s).
